Course Description: Advanced Algebra continues students’ study of advanced algebraic concepts including Functions, Polynomials, Rational Expressions, Logarithms, Statistics and modeling. Students will be expected to describe and translate among graphic, algebraic, numeric, tabular, and verbal representations of relations and use those representations to solve problems.

3 Ring Notebook (1 ½ inch)

If you need extra help, I will be available Tuesday afternoons from 2:45-3:45 or Thursday mornings at 7AM.

Materials:
3 Ring Notebook (1 ½ inch)
- Notebooks will be setup as follows:
- Separate each section of your notebook with 4 dividers labeled: (This is only a recommendation…..you do what works for you!)
- Notebook Paper
- Pencils – No work will be accepted in pen!
- Highlighters
- Graphing Calculator: TI-83 Plus, TI-83 Plus Silver Edition, any TI-84 mode or TI-Inspire.
- This calculator will be used throughout the school year and is necessary on homework assignments, quizzes, and tests. If there are any concerns regarding this calculator, please feel free to contact me to further discuss them. You must bring your calculator to class every day. I do not have any to loan!
- Homework will be assigned every day. I will provide a homework calendar at the beginning of each unit and this information will also be posted on my website.
- If you are absent, you will want to get caught up ASAP as material builds on prior concepts.
- Tests and Quizzes will be given throughout the quarter. All tests and quizzes are listed on the homework calendar so there are no surprises! Tests and quizzes are 60% of your grade while classwork is 40%. STUDY FOR TESTS! If you are absent on test or quiz days, you will be making up the test during class the day you return.

Classroom Policy:
- You must be in your seat and ready to start your warm-up when the bell rings.
- You must come to class with your materials.
- When class work or homework is given, I expect you to be working on it quietly.
- Cell phones are only to be used in class when we are doing an activity that requires it. Put phone in the cell phone pocket that corresponds with the number on your desk. This includes Smart Watches!
